Tregellas Loop Forest Walk (Sherbrooke)

The Tregellas Loop Forest Walk is an easy 2.5km (45 minute) loop starting from the southern end of Grants Picnic Ground in the Dandenong Ranges National Park.

This trail leads you along the ridge; among giant Mountain Ash trees and as you walk down the Tregellas Track the forest changes to reveal Messmate, Grey Gums and a moist fern gully. This track was named after Tom Tregellas, a well-known bird observer, who set up camp in a hollow log in 1918 to study the Superb Lyrebird.
