Guide to Horse Riding Lessons in Melbourne

For people wanting to learn or improve their horse riding skills, there are a range of options in the Melbourne area.

For those aged up to 25 years, membership of a Pony Club offers the opportunity to meet other like minded people. Most Clubs hold monthly rallies where lessons are conducted on horse riding and horsemastership. Some Pony clubs run the "Riders without Horses program" and most clubs offer "Come & Try" where you can attend one (or more) rally and pay your insurance. If you enjoy it and want to come again then you pay the yearly subscription less the insurance. Some clubs also offer a "Ready2Ride program". This program is open to 10 years and under and is an introduction to Pony Club to build confidence in riding and horsemastership in a fun, age appropriate program.

There are also many riding clubs catering for a range of riding disciplines, abilities and ages. These clubs usually hold rallies where instruction is provided.
