Britannia Creek Falls (Wesburn)

Britannia Creek Falls is a secluded waterfall in the forested hills south of Wesburn, near Yarra Junction and Warburton, approximately 85 km east of Melbourne.
The falls are located in the Britannia Creek Cave Geological Reserve, an area of native forest known for its rocky creek, geological features and lush vegetation.
The falls are small, more a creek flowing over rocks.
There is a rugged entry for cars and no visitor facilities. It is only a short (about 200m) walk from the lower carpark. However, it is best to park at the top carpark if possible as the road to the lower carpark is not very good for small low cars.
Britannia Creek flows through a peaceful bushland setting, cascading over rocks and forming small waterfalls and pools. Tree ferns, moss-covered rocks and surrounding forest vegetation add to the picturesque setting.
The waterfall is relatively little known compared with the popular waterfalls around Warburton and the Dandenong Ranges.
Walking:
Visitors should be prepared for uneven terrain, slippery rocks and potentially overgrown tracks. The area is best suited to visitors comfortable navigating natural bushland environments.
How to Get There:
From Warburton, travel approximately 7 km west along the Warburton Highway to Wesburn and turn south into Britannia Creek Road.
Continue along Britannia Creek Road towards the Britannia Creek Cave Geological Reserve. Sections of the road are gravel and can be rough, muddy or slippery after rain.
The mapped location of Britannia Creek Falls is approximately 37.79032°S, 145.66905°E.
