Bimbadeen Phillip Island Farm Tours (Ventnor)

Become a farmer for a day on our Bimbadeen Phillip Island Farm Tours! Learn about life on our working farm, help us collect our free range eggs and feed our resident farm animals. You can also choose to enjoy a tasty paddock to plate BBQ meal afterwards and even stay in one of our new farm retreats.

The 360 acre farming property, 'Bimbadeen', is located between the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit and the world famous Penguin Parade. Bimbadeen, owned and operated by the Davie family since 1955, was first used for dairying and pigs before beef cattle were introduced in 1968. Bimbadeen has become renowned for its award winning premium quality beef and innovative environmental practices at local, State and National levels.

Since the 1980's Bimbadeen has planted over 40,000 trees and ground-cover, protected remnant vegetation, created a wildlife corridor, fenced waterways and dams and addressed salinity issues. The 52 million year old Hurricane Hill is also found at Bimbadeen. From the second highest point on the Island one has spectacular views of Bass Strait, Western Port and neighbouring farms.

Today over 200 Angus cattle graze the paddocks with other forms of wildlife including ducks and cape barren geese. New to our farm are 1500 Isa Brown hens, 2 Alpacas, 500000 bees and two very friendly sheep . As part of the new direction for Bimbadeen free-range eggs and honey are now being produced - Bimbadeen being the first and only commercial free range egg producer on the Island.
