Yanakie - Duck Point Loop Walk

The 2.1km Yanakie/Duck Point Loop is a short circuit walk that showcases panoramic views of Corner Inlet and Wilsons Promontory National Park. Local and migratory birds can often be seen along the walk.

Start at the Yanakie boat ramp (Foley Road), take the track through the coastal bush, which will lead you out onto the shore of Corner Inlet.

Conditions vary depending on tides - avoiding high tide is recommended. Once on the beach turn right and follow the beach back towards the boat ramp.

Distance: The walk is 2.1km in length.
Terrain: Fine gravel and sand surface.
Toilets: Available at Yanakie Boat Ramp.

Directions: Start at the Yanakie Boat Ramp. Foley Road is located approximately 5km past Yanakie township when travelling from the Fish Creek/Foster direction. The turn off to Foley Road will be on your left.

Access for Dogs:

Review:

The start of the walk is on the left, just past the BIG4 Holiday Park and immediately before entering the car park for the boat ramp. This area has toilets and one unshaded table.

The initial part of the walk passes through a tunnel of tea-trees and banksias. You then exit out to a more open area and reach the beach where we saw lots of black swans. The rest of the walk follows the beach around Duck Point and back to the boat ramp.

The water is gorgeous and when the weather is warm it's nice to stop and have a paddle or swim in the waters of Corner Inlet Marine and Coastal Park.
