Wootong Vale - Giant Rock Scenic Reserve

Giant Rock is an impressive volcanic trachyte plug rising above the surrounding farmland near Wootong Vale. It can normally be reached by an approximately 1 km return walk from the parking area on Giant Rock Road.

The route crosses private grazing land before entering the reserve. It includes gates, two stiles and uneven rural terrain. Visitors must remain on the public access route, close gates and avoid disturbing livestock.

Giant Rock is a natural geological feature rather than a developed recreation area. Wear sturdy footwear and carry drinking water.

Important: Parks Victoria currently identifies Giant Rock Scenic Reserve as closed. Check the official Parks Victoria page before travelling and do not enter while the closure remains in effect.
