Warrnambool Botanic Gardens Playground, Botanic Road, Warrnambool

In the north east corner of the Warrnambool Botanic Gardens is a super cute playground which has a giraffe with swings dangling from its ears which has a seat suitable for smaller kids.
Nearby, along Botanic Drive, is a nature-based play space which uses natural and recycled materials rather than conventional play equipment. Children can balance, climb, jump and scramble across large carved Monterey cypress logs, crossing branches, timber stumps and local basalt rocks. The arrangement creates places for imaginative play, cubby building and exploration, while a small water-play element adds sensory play.
It is particularly suited to younger children and families seeking gentle nature play rather than a large conventional playground.
The Botanic Gardens is a wonderful area to explore and has a resident flying fox colony.
