Warburton Bike Park (Wesburn)

Ride Warburton - 160km of purpose built mountain bike trails, featuring 800m of vertical descent, are on their way. 30km are currently open, with more coming in April 2026.
The trailhead is located at Wesburn Park, about 70km east of Melbourne. Your drive takes you through the picturesque Yarra Valley wine region, making it an ideal day trip or a relaxing weekend escape.
Wesburn Park is the main entry point to Warburton Bike Park and offers convenient access to all trails. Located just off the Warburton Highway, the park provides ample parking, clear signage, and easy navigation for riders. Facilities include toilets, water tap, seating areas, bike wash, space to prepare your bike before hitting the trails, bike tool stands and parking.
With multiple trailheads across the network, riders can tailor their experience to suit their skill level, time, and adventure goals. Each entry point provides access to a variety of loops, allowing you to extend or shorten your ride as needed.
Whether you start from the valley floor for a steady climb into the forest or drop in from a higher elevation for an adrenaline-fueled descent, the flexibility of these trailheads ensures there's always a perfect route. Designed for both casual riders and seasoned adventurers, Warburton's interconnected trails let you create your ideal ride, from quick loops to all-day epics.

Barefoot Wizard

Bitta This Bitta That

Starting from Milling Around, this trail climbs all the way to the summit of Mt Little Joe through gum forests and lush fern gullies. Once at the summit you can choose from easy, intermediate and difficult trails all the way back down into Warburton where you can stop for a bite to eat or climb back up for more epic riding.
Fools Gold

The summit of Mt Little Joe isn't just for advanced riders. Roll onto Fools Gold and enjoy a flowing descent into the Mt Little Joe East junction, where you can choose your own adventure on green, blue, or black trails into Warburton.
Even though this trail is rated green, don't underestimate it - the speed can build quickly, so remember the name and take a moment to settle down and stay in control. Smooth turns and a playful gradient make it fun for all skill levels, but it rewards riders who keep their focus.

Starting with a steep climb, you'll make your way up the mountain through switch backs and some loose rocky off camber sections. The climb is worth the effort with a fast and flowy descent featuring jumps, drops and rock gardens.

An easy green rated trail that will keep you busy as you hop between berms, rollers and jumps all the way down. Don't let the easy rating fool you, this trail can be fast and dialing up the speed unlocks an arm pumping challenge.

A looping trail on Mt Little Joe. Traverses around the western side of Mt Little Joe with a mix of climbing and descending. This is a fun easy loop to take the kids on or if you want to add that little bit extra to your ride.

From the summit of Mt Little Joe, the trail quickly picks up speed as it drops down through dry forest, weaving through steep, rocky sections. This 3 km climb offers a consistent, manageable gradient that winds through serene dry forest. Expect a steady rhythm as you ascend, surrounded by native vegetation and the earthy scents of the bush. It's an ideal warm-up for the trails ahead, setting the tone for a day of exploration.
Bringing little riders along? Pack a tow rope to make the climb more enjoyable for them - it's a great way to keep the smiles coming all the way to the top.
The Riddler

Named in honor of local legend John Ridley, The Riddler is a blue-rated intermediate trail designed for riders with experience and confidence. This fast, flowing descent features big, sweeping berms and well-placed jumps that demand skill and focus - you'll need to stay sharp and on the ball at all times, as speeds can build quickly.
As you drop in, the terrain transforms beneath your wheels: rich chocolate-brown dirt among lush ferns gives way to sandy, well-draining soil framed by hardy tea trees. This mix of surfaces adds character and keeps the ride exciting lap after lap. Finish at Dolly Grey Reserve, ready to climb back up and do it all over again.

Finishing on the Milling Around loop, it's the perfect trail to add into your ride to maximum flow without the full grind.

Wanting to lap the lower descending trails? This is your gateway to keeping the fun rolling. Starting on the Warburton to Lilydale Rail Trail, you'll climb up into the network while taking in views over the Yarra river. It's a long climb with plenty of switchbacks, but its gentle gradient makes it very achievable.
