Traralgon - Victory Park

Adjoining Newman Park on the Traralgon town centre side, Victory Park is a peaceful oasis located along the Princes Highway. Take a walk along the Traralgon Creek and roll out a picnic rug under one of the many beautiful trees, take a look inside the band rotunda or admire the Lars Compitalis marble sculpture crafted by acclaimed sculptor Clive Murray-White or view the Lone Pine Tree and the only Azarole Hawthorn Tree in Victoria.

You will find the Black Saturday 2009 memorial featuring a stone retaining wall and bench seat with plaque, a place to sit and reflect.
Facilities include toilets and drinking fountain.
Review:
A lovely park beside the busy Princes Highway with toilets, water tap, lawns, shady trees, paths, rose gardens, artwork, memorials, picnic tables, bins, seating, rotunda, sound shell and flying foxes nesting in the trees beside Traralgon creek.

There is a bridge near the sound shell across to the excellent Newman Park playground.
