Torquay – Hoop Gallery

Located within The MAC (Multi Arts Centre) in the heart of Torquay, Hoop Gallery is a vibrant not-for-profit contemporary art gallery showcasing the work of emerging and established artists from the Surf Coast and beyond. Managed by Surf Coast Art Space (SCAS) Inc., the gallery presents a year-round program of changing exhibitions featuring painting, photography, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, jewellery, digital art and mixed media.

Every exhibition offers something different, making Hoop Gallery well worth visiting more than once. The gallery celebrates the creativity of local artists while also welcoming exhibitors from across Victoria, giving visitors the opportunity to discover original artworks inspired by the coast, landscapes and contemporary Australian life. Admission is free, and many artworks are available for purchase.

Beyond its exhibitions, Hoop Gallery is an active creative hub, hosting artist talks, life drawing sessions, workshops, masterclasses and the annual Talburac Art Prize. The gallery also participates in the Surf Coast Arts Trail, opening its doors to visitors exploring the region's thriving arts community.
