Torquay Bowls Club

Torquay Bowls Club is a friendly coastal bowls club overlooking the beach on The Esplanade. The club has quality bowling greens, pennant and social bowls, barefoot bowls, a bistro, bar and spaces for functions and group events.

Torquay Bowls Club has two bowling greens: one natural grass green and one carpet-style synthetic green.

Visitors can try barefoot bowls without being club members. Bowls equipment and a basic introduction to the game are included, making it suitable for families, friends, workplace groups and celebrations. Bare feet, socks or flat-soled shoes must be worn on the greens.

The club also runs affiliated social bowls, pennant competitions, tournaments and twilight bowls for members and visiting affiliated bowlers.

Barefoot Bowls:

Barefoot bowls sessions are available for one or two hours. Equipment and basic tuition are included.

A maximum of ten people is permitted on each rink. Children must be at least ten years old to enter the greens, and children aged 10–15 must be supervised.

Bookings are recommended. Larger groups and groups requiring catering should contact the club directly.
