The Top Family Activities and Playgrounds in the Moira Shire Region

The Moira Shire region is three hours drive north of Melbourne and includes the towns of Barmah, Cobram (Barooga is across the river in NSW), Nathalia, Numurkah, Strathmerton, Tungamah and Yarrawonga (Mulwala is across the river in NSW).

Highlights of the region cover the gamut from dry - Cactus Country which is a collection of over 10,000 cacti and succulents in Strathmerton to wet - Yarrawonga Foreshore Waterslide and Splash Park and Yarrawonga Aquazone Waterpark, an inflatable adventure park on the foreshore.

Take a boat ride on Lake Mulwala and the Murray River at Yarrawonga on the P.S.Cumberoona Paddle Steamer or MV Paradise Queen. You can also take an eco boat ride through the Barmah National Park.
