Terang Harness Racing Club


Terang Harness Racing Club holds day and night harness-racing meetings at Dalvui Raceway. Visitors can watch pacers and trotters compete under lights, with the Terang Pacing Cup being the club’s major annual event.
Dalvui Raceway has a 1,000-metre granitic-sand track with a 200-metre home straight. Racing is conducted anti-clockwise and the track has a sprint lane.
Race-day facilities include:
- Dining room overlooking the track
- Takeaway food
- Bars in the dining room and Silks Room
- On-course TAB facilities
- Bookmaker at race meetings
- Racebooks available for purchase
- Ample public parking on the northern side of the course
- Separate members’ parking
The club was formed as the Terang Trotting Club in 1912. Dalvui Raceway opened in 1949 after the club constructed its own track on Dalvui Lane. Night racing began in 1955, and the track was extended from 800 metres to its present 1,000-metre length in 2003.
Children should remain under adult supervision around the track, horse areas and vehicle-access points.
Opening Hours:
Open to spectators during scheduled race meetings and public events. Check the current Terang harness-racing calendar before visiting.
Cost:
General admission is normally free for regular meetings, while admission charges may apply to the Terang Pacing Cup and other special events. Check the official Cup dining and admission information.
