Stratford - Avon River Swimming
On both sides of the Princes Highway bridge in Stratford there are pebbly beaches along the Avon River.
The best access is to turn right into Apex Park on the eastern side of the bridge where there is a carpark, toilets and nice playground. From here there is a track down to the river but this is only recommended for 4WD vehicles.
There are normally some shallow pools for less experienced swimmers and the main channels with current are typically less then one metre deep.
