Skeleton Creek Reserve Dog Off Leash Area (Hoppers Crossing)

Skeleton Creek Reserve Dog Off Leash Area (Hoppers Crossing)

The path goes from Stephen Court walkway north along Skeleton Creek track to Golden Ash Grove. This is a distance of 1.7km one-way.

There are some mown grassy areas beside the path but otherwise there is a lot of long grass. The long grass in combination with the water suggests that snakes might be a problem in warm weather. There are seats and bins beside the trail in a few spots including near where the pedestrian bridge crosses the creek but no water tap.

At Golden Ash Road there is an open grassy area which is good for dogs to run around.

There are plenty of waterbirds to be seen including egrets, spoonbills, moorhens and ducks.

The dog off leash area has a number of entry / exit points. Stephen Court is at the southern end.

This area is suited to well-trained dogs which are not going to chase birds in the wetlands area.
