Sale - Museum of Timeless Memories

Sale - Museum of Timeless Memories

The Museum of Timeless Memories is a privately owned museum in Sale containing an eclectic collection of domestic, industrial and automotive items from the 20th century and earlier.

The collection provides a nostalgic look at everyday Australian life, with objects ranging from household appliances and hand tools to vehicles, model cars, machinery and automobilia. Many of the displays show how familiar objects and technologies have changed over time.

The museum was created by Peter and Rose Smolenaars, whose collection developed from an interest in cars and tools into a large and varied assortment of historic objects. Visitors often discover unusual items they may never have seen before, while older objects can evoke memories of everyday life from previous generations.
