Rochester - Campaspe River

The Campaspe River is one of Rochester’s main natural recreation areas, with opportunities for walking, cycling, picnicking, fishing, canoeing and kayaking along the river.
A 2km Campaspe River Trail follows the river through native bushland. Along the way, look for nesting boxes installed for local gliders. Squirrel Gliders, Sugar Gliders and Feathertail Gliders have all been recorded along this stretch of river.
Fishing is popular from the riverbank, while paddlers can explore the Campaspe River by canoe or kayak.
Kayak Launch:
An all-abilities kayak launching pontoon is located at Rochester Riverside Holiday Park. The ramp is designed for people of different ages and abilities and there is an accessible parking space close to the kayak ramp. Access to the pontoon is free. Visitors should access the kayak launching ramp through Rochester Riverside Holiday Park.Location
