Pude Natural Farm (Silvan)
Pude Natural Farm is a family-operated orchard in Silvan specialising in pick-your-own bayberries, an unusual fruit originally from East Asia. The farm also offers seasonal fig and green kiwifruit picking.
The orchard contains more than 500 bayberry trees. Bayberries are juicy, sweet-tart fruits that ripen to a deep purple-black colour. Their delicate texture makes them difficult to transport, so eating freshly picked bayberries is a distinctive experience.
The owners use natural soil management methods and avoid chemical pesticides and synthetic fertilisers.
Pick Your Own Fruit:
Bayberries: The main picking season generally begins in mid-to-late December and lasts approximately one month. Several varieties ripen at different times.
Visitors can choose between an entry ticket allowing limited tasting and an all-you-can-eat picking experience. Fruit taken home is weighed and charged separately.
Figs: Seasonal fig picking is generally available from March to May, depending on the crop.
Green kiwifruit: Seasonal picking is generally offered from late June to August, with opening dates determined by fruit availability.
All picking experiences are seasonal and require checking current availability.
Visiting the Farm:
Advance online booking is essential. Bayberry picking sessions run for two hours, and visitors must arrive during their booked session.
The orchard has simple farm facilities, including toilets and hand-washing facilities. Access is along dirt tracks, and the ground can be uneven or slippery after rain.
Closed shoes and long pants are recommended. Bring drinking water, sun protection and insect repellent.
Visitors must not climb trees or pull down high branches because bayberry branches are brittle. The farm also has beehives, so children should be supervised.
There are no meal services at the farm.

Open on selected dates during fruit picking seasons only.
Bayberry picking generally starts in mid-to-late December and continues for approximately one month.
Fig and kiwifruit picking operate during their respective seasons, subject to crop availability.
For the 2026/27 bayberry season, bookings have not yet opened. Visitors can register to be notified when sessions become available.
