Port Fairy - Geotours

Geotours is a Port Fairy based tour company specialising in the geology, natural history and landscape evolution of south-west Victoria. Tours are led by local geologist Michael Raetz and explore the stories written in the volcanic and coastal landscapes of the region.

Tours can explore locations along the western Great Ocean Road and volcanic hinterland, including Port Fairy, the Bay of Islands, Twelve Apostles, The Crags, Yambuk Estuary, Moyjil (Point Ritchie), Tower Hill and Budj Bim.

The Great Ocean Road & Port Fairy Explorer combines touring with a stay in Port Fairy and can connect with V/Line train services at Warrnambool. Geotours also offers the Tower Hill - The Crags & Estuary tour as well as customised escorted tours and accommodation packages.

The tours provide an opportunity to learn about volcanoes, lava flows, rock formations, coastal processes and the geological history that shaped south-west Victoria.
