Pennyroyal - Otway Adventure Motorcycles

Otway Adventure Motorcycles offers guided adventure-motorcycle tours through the Otways, starting from King Parrot Cottages and Event Centre at Pennyroyal. Tours follow a mixture of sealed roads, gravel roads and forest tracks, with routes adjusted to suit riders’ experience, group ability and weather conditions.
The rides focus on exploring the Otways at a comfortable pace rather than competitive or high-speed riding. They are suitable for licensed riders ranging from adventure-riding beginners to experienced motorcyclists.
Tour options include:
- Half-day and full-day guided rides
- One, two and three-day tours
- Private and customised group tours
- Small-group rides, generally with six to ten guest riders
- Motorcycle hire or the option to bring a suitable motorcycle
- Accommodation options for overnight and multi-day tours
- Support vehicle assistance on multi-day rides
- Gift vouchers
Tours begin and finish at King Parrot Cottages and Event Centre each day. Day rides generally depart at approximately 9am and return during the afternoon, although arrangements vary between tours.
Motorcycles:
Riders may bring their own registered, roadworthy adventure motorcycle or hire one of the operator’s CFMoto 450MT motorcycles.
A privately owned motorcycle must be mechanically sound, fitted with suitable tyres and arrive with a full tank of fuel. See the motorcycle information for current hire-bike details.
Rider Requirements:
Participants must hold a valid motorcycle licence and have a moderate level of physical fitness. Previous off-road experience is not always required because routes can be adjusted to the group, but this is not a formal motorcycle-training course.
Riders must provide their own protective clothing. Mandatory equipment includes:
- An AS1698-approved helmet or equivalent
- Eye protection, such as goggles or a visor
- Full-finger motorcycle gloves
- Motorcycle, motocross or adventure boots covering the ankles
- A long-sleeved riding jersey or jacket
- Full-length riding pants
Accommodation and Meals:
Overnight and multi-day tours use accommodation at King Parrot Cottages and Event Centre, with cottage, lodge and camping options available depending on the tour.
Meal arrangements and inclusions vary. Some meals are included on multi-day tours, while lunch stops at local pubs or cafes may be at the rider’s expense. Check the individual tour details when booking.
Non-riding partners and family members can stay at King Parrot. Space for non-riders in the support vehicle is limited and must be arranged beforehand.
