Paynesville Bowling Club

Paynesville Bowling Club is a friendly community lawn bowls club close to the centre of Paynesville. The member-run club offers competitive and social bowls and welcomes visitors, with regular events and tournaments throughout the year.

The club has three outdoor bowling greens – two natural grass greens and one synthetic green. The synthetic green provides a more weather-resistant playing surface alongside the two grass greens.

Social and Casual Bowls:

Visitors and beginners can contact the club about opportunities to have a game. Bowls can be borrowed from the club, making it possible for newcomers to try lawn bowls without having their own equipment.

The club has also hosted barefoot bowls and group bowls, making it an option for families, groups, parties and social gatherings. Contact the club beforehand to confirm current availability and arrange a session.

Competitive Bowls:

Paynesville Bowling Club participates in pennant and championship bowls and holds regular tournaments. One of its major annual events is the Week of Bowls Carnival, which celebrated its 25th year in 2025.

Clubhouse:

The clubhouse provides indoor social facilities and a bar.
