Otway Harvest Trail
The Otway Harvest Trail is a self-guided touring route covering various locations throughout the Otway Ranges and Great Ocean Road region, showcasing the best food, wine, produce, farm gates, breweries, distilleries, cafés, accommodation and artisan experiences throughout the Otway region. Following quiet country roads through rolling farmland, forests and picturesque villages, the trail is a wonderful way to discover the flavours and hospitality of one of Victoria's most productive regions.
Since its establishment, the trail has brought together local growers, makers and tourism operators to promote fresh local produce and authentic regional experiences. Visitors can meet the people behind the products, sample seasonal fruit and vegetables, enjoy gourmet food, browse country markets, visit wineries and breweries, or simply relax at cafés and restaurants serving locally sourced ingredients.
Rather than being a single fixed route, the Otway Harvest Trail is divided into several touring loops that allow visitors to explore different parts of the region. The trail passes through towns including Moriac, Winchelsea, Birregurra, Forrest, Colac, Deans Marsh, Pennyroyal, Gellibrand, Lavers Hill, Cobden, Timboon and Camperdown, making it easy to combine with a Great Ocean Road holiday.
The experience changes with the seasons. Summer brings berry picking and stone fruit, autumn offers apples and cool-climate produce, winter is perfect for cosy cafés, breweries and distilleries, while spring showcases colourful gardens, fresh produce and wildflowers.
