Navigation Park Playground, Universal Road, Tarneit
This is a playground for climbers with lots of bouldering, parkour and Ninja elements. The centrepiece is a high mound with a difficult climbing wall on one side because the concrete is curved to an overhang. On the other side is a very steep slippery concrete slide reached by rope net or bumps on the soft surface. Be careful with the slide since it is very steep and you can easily lean back and hit your head - it's a scary ride down. Local advice is that the concrete slide is better with your shoes off.
There is also a parkour pipe climbing structure, climbing structure with balls, cube shaped climbing structure, Quin Steps like the first obstacle on a Ninja Warrior course (also be careful here since the pads are surrounded by concrete and it can be painful if you slip), birds nest swing, little mound slide and swing with two disk seats which rotate.
The shelter has a table, two hanging swings and some suspended rubber boards which need a re-design because they collect a lot of rain. There are two unshaded tables, seats, water tap, garden area with rocks and logs and a big grassy area.
Overall an interesting play area but be prepared to put the ambulance on speed dial.
