Enjoy a BBQ (wood fired), picnic or short walk to the scenic Thowgla Falls.

Thowgla Falls, in the Thowgla Valley near Corryong, is a hidden scenic waterfall nestled in the heart of the Upper Murray.

Admire the falls from the undercover picnic shelter or cook a BBQ lunch on the wood-fired BBQ.

Access Thowgla Falls viewing platform via a short 800 metre walk from the day visitor carpark. The walk crosses three footbridges through native bushland and ferns on a well-formed track up to a viewing platform with views to the falls.

There is no rubbish collection at this location. Please take your rubbish with you.
Phone reception is limited.
Be aware the walking track includes occasional steps and a few short, steep sections on the way to the falls.

How to get there


You have two options to access Thowgla Falls. Note: Both routes are all-weather 4WD roads. 1. Via the Nariel Valley. Head west out of Corryong on the Murray Valley Highway for about 6km then turn left onto the Benambra-Corryong Road and continue on for about 25km til you reach Dunstan?s logging road on your left. Travel Dunstan?s logging Road for 35km following signs to Thowgla Falls. 2. Via the Thowgla Valley. Head east out of Corryong for about a kilometre, then turn right onto Thowgla Road. Continue down Thowgla Road for about 20kms, after which it changes name to Walkers Road. Travel Walkers Road for 28kms following signs to Thowgla Falls. Access is suitable for 2WD vehicles in dry weather only.
