Musk Vale - Wombat Reservoir

Wombat Reservoir is a deep domestic water supply surrounded by forest. It was formerly known as Wombat Creek Reservoir and is labelled Wombat Creek Dam on Google maps.

Boating and wading is prohibited. There are no toilets, picnic tables or BBQs.

Fishing
A permit from Central Highlands Water Authority is needed for fishing. The reservoir contains brown trout, rainbow trout and a few redfin. It is stocked regularly with brown trout and rainbow trout. Anglers report trout being taken near the dam wall.
