Mount Franklin (Lalgambuk) is part of Hepburn Regional Park and offers a unique experience in a small volcanic crater.

Whether you visit for the day, or a short term stay in the camping area, this is an ideal place to relax amongst plantings of conifers and deciduous trees ablaze with colour in Autumn, creating an exotic atmosphere.

Camping
This popular camping area offers space for large groups and families alike. Suitable for tents, camper trailers, campervans, and caravans.

The campground features a communal shelter and non-flushing toilets. Limited wood fireplaces are provided shared picnic tables throughout. Bring your own firewood. Campfires permitted in steel fireplaces only. It is recommended you bring your own portable firepit to avoid disappointment. Stay informed on local fire conditions.

A small tank of non-potable water is provided for handwashing (seasonally). Please ensure you bring your own drinking water and take all rubbish home.

Lalgambuk Summit Loop Walk
The Summit Loop walk offers a 1.7km circuit. Starting at the Day Visitor Area, follow the craters steep ridgeline to be rewarded with glimpses of the surrounding landscape, before descending down into the camping area through the large conifers.
