Mortlake - Tea Tree Lake Reserve

Tea Tree Lake Reserve is an attractive parkland and lake in the centre of Mortlake, providing a peaceful place for fishing, walking, birdwatching, picnicking and relaxing.
Idyllic lawns and mature trees surround Tea Tree Lake, with a historic rotunda and summerhouse adding to the character of the reserve. A pier extends over the lake and provides a convenient spot for fishing.
The lake contains fish and yabbies and is a popular place to cast a line. More than 100 species of birds have been recorded around the lake and surrounding parkland, making the reserve a particularly good location for birdwatching.
Paths through the reserve provide opportunities for a leisurely stroll, while outdoor exercise equipment provides another way to get active.
Tea Tree Lake also forms a stop on the Mortlake Heritage Trail. Mortlake Caravan Park is located within the reserve precinct.

Fishing:
Fishing is permitted in Tea Tree Lake. The lake contains fish and yabbies and fishing is available from the pier and banks.
A Victorian recreational fishing licence may be required.
Birdwatching:
Tea Tree Lake and its surrounding parkland provide habitat for a diverse range of wildlife. More than 100 bird species have been recorded in the area.
Access for Dogs:
Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a leash.
