Mooroopna War Memorial

Mooroopna War Memorial

Set before a World War I memorial rotunda, contemporary glass panels acknowledge local men and women who served in the World Wars I and II, Vietnam, Korea and Indonesia.

The memorial rotunda with a plinth commemorates those who served in World War One. It contains the names of those who died in service or were killed in action, and those who enlisted, including 145 men and 21 nurses, all of whom trained at the Mooroopna Hospital.

The Mooroopna community contributed 1,100 pounds to erect the rotunda which was dedicated on 25 April 1928. The panels were added recently.
