Moggs Creek Beach

Moggs Creek Beach is a peaceful stretch of coastline where Moggs Creek flows into Bass Strait. Nestled between Fairhaven and Eastern View, the beach is surrounded by coastal dunes, native vegetation and towering eucalypts, creating a tranquil setting that feels far removed from the busier beaches nearby.

Surf Safety
Moggs Creek Beach is not patrolled. While the creek mouth is often calm, the adjoining ocean beach is exposed to Bass Strait and can experience strong waves, rip currents and rapidly changing conditions. Visitors should assess conditions carefully before entering the water and closely supervise children around both the creek and the ocean. Those seeking patrolled swimming beaches should visit nearby Fairhaven Beach or Lorne Beach during the summer season.

Getting There
From Aireys Inlet, travel west along the Great Ocean Road for approximately 5 km. Turn into the small public beach car park immediately west of the Old Coach Road intersection. A short walking track leads through the dunes to Moggs Creek Beach.
