Melbourne Numismatic Society (Box Hill)

Melbourne Numismatic Society (Box Hill)

Founded in 1965 the Melbourne Numismatic Society is a community for anyone who shares an interest in numismatics, collecting and general history.

The aim of the Melbourne Numismatic Society is to promote the study, collecting and exhibiting of coinage, currency and related items. This includes coins, banknotes, medals, tokens, badges, checks and other items which are associated with numismatics. This is done through regular meetings of a small but active group of enthusiasts and preparation of displays to show items of interest to the broader public. The latter includes a periodic Coin Show held in the local area. As the society meets and in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne with easy car access, members are mostly drawn from that side of the city but some also come to meetings from further afield. We recognise that there are a large number of collectors who are not involved in a numismatic society and always welcome new members and guests.

The club holds monthly meetings in Box Hill on the 2nd Thursday of each month except January.
