Marysville - Wilks Creek Trail

This 8.5km loop multi-use trail in Marysville loops through Wilks Creek catchment and links to Andersons Mill ? an ideal place to take a break and enjoy lunch.
The trail is ideal for mountain biking, walking or horse riding. It loops through the Wilks Creek catchment and passes through a variety of forest types.
The trail connects to the historic Anderson No. 1 Mill, once one of the most productive sawmills in the region, and Andersons Mill Campground. In its heyday, this was the site of a small community, shops and even a school. It's an ideal place to take a breather and enjoy a break before completing the loop back to Marysville. Toilets, barbeque facilities and a horse yard are available for visitor use.
A section of this track runs along the Bicentennial National Trail, a 5330km horse trail along the Great Dividing Range that links Healesville to Cooktown in Queensland.
The walk has no steps, short steep hills, formed track and is sign posted. Bushwalking experience recommended.
How to get there
The trail starts from Anderson Mill campground. To get to Anderson Mill from Marysville,head up Lyell street off the main street. Lyell Street becomes Paradise Plains Road. Continue on Paradise Plains Road, past the Marysville reservoir, and shortly after, turn right down Anderson Mill Road. Continue on for approximately 2.5km. The turnoff to Anderson Mill campground is on your left hand side and clearly sign posted. Suitable for 2WD vehicles.
