Maffra - The Berry Dairy
The Berry Dairy is a family-owned strawberry farm in Maffra, Central Gippsland, offering pick-your-own strawberries, farm animals, playgrounds and a cafe. It is a particularly good family destination because visitors can enjoy several activities in one visit.
The farm grows spray-free strawberries, with the picking season generally running from October to May. Visitors can walk through the strawberry patch, choose ripe red berries and fill a purchased picking punnet. General strawberry picking does not require advance booking, although availability depends on the weather and the amount of ripe fruit.

Cafe and Facilities:

Most seating is undercover, with an enclosed, air-conditioned room available.
The property is mostly flat, with accessible pathways connecting the main visitor areas. Accessible toilets and step-free access to the strawberry picking area, petting zoo and lavender patch are provided. Some working-farm surfaces are gravel and may be muddy after rain.
A fully fenced, 80-metre off-leash dog park is available.
Opening Hours:
Thursday to Monday, 10am to 4:30pm. Last entry at 4pm. Cafe food orders close at 3pm.
Strawberry picking generally operates from October to May, subject to fruit availability.

Cost:
Entry to the cafe, playgrounds, dog-friendly areas and dog park is free.
A Farm Pass is required to enter the strawberry fields and petting zoo. Strawberry picking punnets (punnets cost $6.50, $12 or $22 depending on size), tractor tours and VIP animal experiences are additional purchases. Eating strawberries in the field is prohibited.
