Long Point Circuit Walk (Cape Schanck)

.jpg)
This 4 km circuit leads you through eucalypt forest with bracken understory, before opening to views across grasslands and gullies of coast banksia and blackwood.
The track passes alongside Main Creek, through the Mornington Peninsula National Park (below the Greens Bush Section).

Access from Two Bays Track on Long Point Road (halfway between Highfield and Gate 3 on Rogers Road). Parking available on Long Point Road.
This walk can be done in either direction or as part of the longer 26km Two Bays Walking Trail.
Review:
We made a rather pathetic attempt to do this walk after we didn't have any phone connection and struggled to find the route.
The only thing we did correctly was following Long Point Road for 1km. When you reach Long Point Reserve, the road does a loop and further access along Long Point Road is blocked by a gate. Park here and continue along the road by foot. Beside the road are lovely grass trees, banksias and gums.
Eventually we reached a gate labelled "Gate 1, Mornington Peninsula National Park Greens Bush" with the following distances.
Two Bays walking track 1.2 km
Long Point 1.5 km
Baldry's Crossing 7.2 km
Cape Schanck 9.2 km
At this point we retraced our steps to try another day.
Note: This area is a Phytophthora infected area. Stop disease spread by avoiding horse riding and walking in wet conditions.
