Locations to Play Footgolf in Melbourne and Regional Victoria

FootGolf is a sport played on a golf course in which a soccer ball is kicked into a series of large holes, the object being to complete the course using the fewest possible shots.

Learning to play FootGolf to enjoy a social game is very easy, making it a great sport to play with family and friends. FootGolf is a great activity for corporate events, birthday parties and days out.

There is also a competitive side where participants spend hours practising different shots and determining how to best read greens and fairways.

FootGolf Rules


1. No soccer shoes with hard cleats
2. The ball must be played in a single movement. You are not allowed to push the ball with the top or bottom of your foot.
3. If one players ball strikes another players ball, the ball at rest shall be returned to its original position
4. Play the ball from where it lies
5. If your ball obstructs another player's kick, you may mark the spot and lift the ball.
6. The player furthest from the hole is the first to kick the ball.
7. The player with the best score will kick off first on the next hole
8. If the ball lands in a water hazard, drop the ball within 2 steps from the nearest clear land point of entry (+1 penalty).
9. If the ball lands in a bunker, play the ball from where it lies. You must rake the bunker after you play.
10. Show consideration for golfers and other players at all times.

There are a growing number of golf courses offering FootGolf including:

Northcote Public Golf Course, 143 Normanby Avenue, Thornbury

9 hole course available after 12pm.
$15 for a round of 9 holes (adults), $10 for a round of 9 holes (children under 16).
Soccer ball hire : Available but please mention at time of booking. ($5 for hire, $15 for loss ball).

Keilor Public Golf Course, 540 Calder Freeway, Keilor North

6 hole course available Friday fortnightly 4pm during twilight hours, bookings essential.
6 holes adult casual - $15.00, 6 holes child casual - $7.00, 6 holes child under 5 - Free, Family (2 adults & 2 kids) - $35.00
Ball Hire - $3.00 (Photo ID deposit required)

Cardinia Beaconhills Golf Links, 85-87 Stoney Creek Road, Beaconsfield Upper

9 hole course
$13 for a round of 9 holes
Soccer ball hire : Available but please mention at time of booking. ($5 for hire, $15 for loss ball).

Eynesbury Golf Course, 487 Eynesbury Road, Eynesbury

12 hole course available on Wednesdays and Fridays from 3pm. $10pp and $3 for ball hire or BYO.

Curlewis Golf Club, 1345 Portarlington Road, Curlewis (near Geelong)

12 hole course is available Sunday to Friday from 2:30pm onwards.
Adult: $12, child under 15: $5, ball hire: $3 or BYO ball for free.
For safety, children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult

There are also locations to play footgolf in regional Victoria.

Boorhaman Golf Course (near Wangaratta)

9 hole course open Sunday 1pm-4pm and other playing times can be organised by arrangement.
Cost is $10 per game per adult, $7.50 per game kids 5-15, Under 5 free, $30 per family (2 adults, 2 children)
$5.00 for ball hire or BYO number 5 soccer ball
Payment is by cash or bank transfer.

Red Cliffs Golf Club (near Mildura)

9 hole course available seven days a week
$10 per game, soccer ball hire is $5
