Liberty Balloon Flights (Geelong)

Liberty Balloon Flights offers sunrise hot air balloon flights over Geelong and the surrounding countryside, providing aerial views that can include the Geelong waterfront, Corio Bay, the Barwon River, Bellarine Peninsula, farmland and, on clear mornings, the You Yangs and coastline.

Passengers usually meet before dawn at Holiday Inn & Suites Geelong before being transferred to the launch site selected by the pilot according to the morning's wind and weather conditions. Launch locations vary and may be around Geelong itself or areas such as Murgheboluc, Bannockburn and the Bellarine Peninsula.

The balloon flight lasts approximately one hour, with the complete experience taking around 3.5-4 hours. After landing, passengers are collected by the ground crew and returned to Geelong for a buffet breakfast. Passengers may also be able to help with inflating or packing away the balloon.

Flights operate at sunrise and are weather dependent. If conditions are unsuitable, the flight may be cancelled and rescheduled.

Children aged six years and over can fly. Children should generally be at least 120 cm tall so they can see over the basket and must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
