Leigh Creek - Naturipe Fruits Ballarat Cherry Farm
Naturipe Fruits operates a pick-your-own cherry orchard at Leigh Creek, near Ballarat, where families can enjoy harvesting fresh cherries directly from the trees during the summer season.
The farm is part of the Naturipe Fruits operation, which has three fruit-picking locations across Bacchus Marsh and Ballarat.
Pick Your Own Cherries:
Naturipe grows more than 15 varieties of cherries across its orchards, including:
- Red sweet cherries
- White Rainier cherries
- Sour cherries
Children can enjoy searching the trees for ripe cherries and carefully picking their own fruit.
Fruit availability varies throughout the season, with different varieties ripening at different times.
Visitors should pick carefully to avoid damaging branches.
Visiting the Farm:
Containers are supplied for collecting cherries, although visitors can bring their own.
The farm has on-site parking.
Visitors should wear enclosed shoes, a hat and sunscreen, and bring drinking water.
This is not an all-you-can-eat orchard. Visitors are asked not to eat fruit while picking and to wash their cherries before eating them.
The farm does not provide dedicated picnic facilities.
Naturipe also operates separate fruit-picking farms in Bacchus Marsh offering cherries, strawberries and other seasonal fruit.
Opening Hours:
The Ballarat cherry picking season normally begins in late December and continues into summer, depending on the crop.
The farm is currently closed, with opening dates for the 2026/27 season yet to be announced.
During the picking season, Naturipe generally operates from 9am to 5pm, subject to fruit availability.

Cost:
An admission fee applies, and cherries picked to take home are charged separately by weight.
