Lavender Rain Park Playground, Norman Road, Donnybrook

Rating =

On a mound is a tower with a purple flower bursting out the top. Internally there are a series of rope ladders to reach a huge curved tunnel slide (which would be difficult for young kids). The mound also has a little metal slide and scrambling rope.
Around the base is an area for younger kids with a bee springer, spinning leaf disk, steppers, wooden bridge and swings.
A basketball court with tennis rebound wall (butterfly on lavender painted by renowned artist DVATE), shelter (no tables or BBQs but tables will be installed in the future), unshaded table, water tap and grassy areas.

The purple colours throughout the playground pay homage to the heritage of the lavender blooms that were once cultivated in this area.
