Lake Tooliorook Recreation Reserve

Lake Tooliorook Recreation Reserve is a picturesque lakeside recreation and camping area approximately 5 km south-west of Lismore, with attractive views across the water towards Mount Elephant.

The shallow, sand-bottomed lake is popular for fishing, boating, kayaking, water skiing and other water-based activities. The foreshore is also a pleasant place for a picnic, birdwatching or simply relaxing beside the water.

Lake Tooliorook has a boat launching ramp and jetty, making it easy to access the lake for boating and fishing. The lake is particularly popular with anglers and contains redfin, brown trout, rainbow trout and short-finned eel.

The recreation reserve includes a campground with shady, unpowered campsites beside the lake.

Fishing:

Lake Tooliorook is a popular fishing lake. Fish species include redfin, brown trout, rainbow trout and short-finned eel.

A Victorian recreational fishing licence may be required.

Water Activities:

Boating, kayaking, water skiing and swimming are popular when lake levels and water conditions are suitable.

There are no lifesaving patrols. Check current water-quality warnings and local conditions before swimming or participating in other water activities, as blue-green algae and changing lake levels can affect access and water safety.

Camping:

Camping is available on shady unpowered sites beside the lake. Toilets and hot showers are provided.
