Kyabram - Ern Miles Reserve

Ern Miles Reserve is a large area of regenerated native bushland on the southern edge of Kyabram. What was once degraded farmland and a drainage basin has been transformed by the Kyabram Urban Landcare Group into an important wildlife habitat and a peaceful place for walking and birdwatching.

Thousands of indigenous trees and shrubs have been established, including grey box, river red gum, manna gum, yellow box and numerous species of wattle.

Birdlife is a particular feature of the reserve. Species observed include painted buttonquail, rufous and golden whistlers, superb fairy-wrens, grey fantails and several species of thornbill. Kangaroos, wallabies and other native wildlife may also be seen.

The reserve is noted for its native bushland, walking tracks and birdwatching opportunities.
