Koonoomoo - Guilmartins Beach

Guilmartins Beach is located at a bend in the Murray River on the Victorian side of the river.
There is a very large 500m long beach which has a wide sandy expanse.
There are shallow entry areas close to the bank that are safe for beginners with active supervision. Elsewhere is for experienced swimmers due to the strong current.
The location is a free camping area but there are no facilities.
Note that there is no fishing from September to November and there is no fishing for Murray crayfish or trout cod at any time.
To reach Guilmartins Beach, take an unnamed track eastwards from the Goulburn Valley Highway at a point 2.8km south of the Murray River bridge and about 700m north of Bouchiers Lane. After about 500m the track becomes a loop. Head clockwise to find the beach.
