Koonoomoo - Finley Beach

Finley Beach is located at a bend in the Murray River on the Victorian side of the river.
There is a nice sandy beach which has some shallows near the shore for children and less experienced swimmers, but still demanding supervision due to the currents. Further out is for experienced swimmers due to the strong current.
The location is a popular free camping area with campers, caravans and RVs. There is limited shade on the banks but stay clear of large river gums which can drop big branches.
There are no facilities here except for toilets located 350m downstream near the track that runs between Finley Beach and Mulberry Beach.
Note that there is no fishing from September to November and there is no fishing for Murray crayfish or trout cod at any time.
To reach Finley Beach, take an unnamed track eastwards from the Goulburn Valley Highway at a point 900m south of the Murray River bridge.
