Koonoomoo - Apex Beach

Apex Beach is located at a bend in the Murray River on the Victorian side of the river.
There are significant sandy areas and a progressively sloping water's edge. There are shallow areas close to the bank that are safe for older children but smaller kids will need to be actively supervised. Elsewhere is for experienced swimmers due to the strong current.
The location is a free camping area and is often busy during holiday periods. There is shade on the banks but stay clear of large river gums which can drop big branches. Keep a lookout for koalas which are common to see.

There are no facilities here.
To reach Apex Beach, take Pump Bend Track westwards from the Goulburn Valley Highway for 700m, where there is a sign to the beach. Head northwards on this track.
