Koondrook - Goanna Walking Track

The Goanna Walking Track is a 3.2km loop walk that incorporates the Gunbower Creek Footbridge and passes through the Gunbower State Forest before returning to the centre of Koondrook via Condidorio’s Bridge. It is a scenic and family-friendly walk with a mix of natural bush terrain and formed path along the creek.

The track passes through part of Gunbower Island, which is the largest inland island in Australia. Along the way you can enjoy magnificent river red gums and look for local wildlife, with kangaroos and birdlife often seen on the walk.

This is also a good option for a short bike ride, as the track is suitable for both walking and cycling.
