John Brady Wood Sculpture Gallery showcases the remarkable chainsaw sculptures and other artwork of Gippsland sculptor John Brady.
John has been creating chainsaw sculptures for more than 30 years, transforming large logs into detailed human figures, animals, historical characters and memorials. His work can be found throughout Australia and overseas and he has won numerous Australian and international chainsaw carving competitions.
The gallery displays a selection of artwork and sculptures by John and Alison Brady. Visitors are welcome to arrange a visit simply to view the works, with no expectation to purchase.
John's subjects have included famous Australians and historical figures such as Don Bradman, Slim Dusty, Henry Lawson, Sir John Monash and The Man from Snowy River, along with wildlife, Indigenous figures and military memorials.
His public commissions include the Avenue of Honour war memorial sculptures at Lakes Entrance, the Saluting Soldier at Stratford Cemetery and numerous sculptures throughout Gippsland.
