Kaniva - Overland Museum

The Overland Museum in Kaniva celebrates the history of The Overland, the famous passenger train service connecting Melbourne and Adelaide since 1887. The museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the golden age of Australian railway travel.

The privately owned, independently operated museum is home to a restored sleeping carriage built in 1951, which is housed undercover. Visitors can step inside the carriage and discover what overnight rail travel was like in years gone by.
