Kalora Park Oval Fenced Dog Park (Narre Warren North)

Kalora Park Oval Fenced Dog Park (Narre Warren North)

The fenced dog park is located at Kalora Park which also has an oval, playground, netball courts and Soldier Settler Memorial Gardens. There is a car park along McKenzie Lane for the dog park area.

There are two areas with wire mesh fences measuring 45m x 30m. Each area has a gate, bin and some containers filled with water. The southern fenced area is designated for younger dogs and the northern fenced area is designated for larger dogs. Outside the northern area is a water tap with bowl, unshaded tables and seats and a pavilion for the Berwick Obedience Dog Club.

These areas were funded and built by the Berwick Obedience Dog Club for the use of club members and residents of the City of Casey. The off-leash area rules are:
  • Do not enter when the flag is displayed - Obedience, Agility or Fly ball class is in progress.
  • Dog owners using this area are responsible for their dogs and injuries or damage caused by them.
  • Always consult those already using the area before entering
  • Only stay 5 minutes if others are waiting.
  • Clean up after your dog.
  • Dogs showing signs of aggressive behaviour towards people or other dogs must be removed from the area immediately.
  • Maximum of 8 dogs at a time.
The reserve is the home of the Berwick Obedience Dog Club and club hours are 11:30am - 4:30pm. There are also some grassy areas around the enclosures where dogs can run around. On the southern side is Troups Creek (the thick bush beside the creek had been killed back when we visited) and the south east boundary has paddocks with alpacas and horses.
