Jackwood Park Playground, Jackwood Grove, Aintree
Another spectacular Aintree playground with the highlight being a tower with two high twisting tunnel slides which are reached by a rope ladder. There is no easy way up to these slides and you need to earn the right to come down them.
There is a big wall with climbing holds to traverse across (check out the familiar shape of the climbing holds), big bird's nest swing, large sandpit (which is more gravelly than sandy), four standard swings, spinning carousel and a wooden log see-saw. Also a water pump next to the sandpit and a number of short tunnels to crawl through.
There is a concrete path around the playground area with some fun sections for bikes or skateboards with one area having banked sides and another section having waves. Plenty of rocks to scramble over throughout the playground area, shelter with two tables, water tap, BBQs, grassy area and an outdoor gym.
