Hoopla (Pakenham)
Hoopla Pakenham is a large indoor family entertainment centre with a 3,000-square-metre interactive playground, an enclosed toddler area, bowling, ride-on cars, arcade games, party rooms and a licensed restaurant and bar. The purpose-built centre offers activities for toddlers through to older children, as well as family and group entertainment.
Playground World:
Playground World is a multi-level indoor adventure playground designed for children aged 1-12. The equipment has been designed to provide easy adult access and clear visibility from the surrounding seating area.
Playground features include:
- More than 100 metres of slides
- Very tall double-wave slide
- Four-metre-high climbing volcano
- Multi-level climbing structures
- Tunnels, bridges and climbing obstacles
- Ball-battle areas
- Rainforest-themed play zone with animal characters
- Australian outback-themed play zone
- Interactive and imaginative play features
- Open design allowing parents to see much of the play area from the seating area
Parents and carers accompanying children into the playground areas receive free entry, although separate charges apply if they participate in bowling, arcade games, ride-on cars or other paid activities.
Toddler World:
Toddler World is a fully enclosed play area reserved for babies and children aged 0-3. The outback-themed toddler area includes:
- Low-level climbing equipment
- Small slides
- Crawling areas
- Soft-play elements
- Australian animal characters
- Play equipment separated from the larger children's playground
Bowling:
Hoopla offers both classic tenpin bowling and Blitz Bowling.
Blitz Bowling uses shorter lanes and smaller, lighter balls, making it easier for younger children and beginners. It is recommended for children aged three and over. Classic tenpin bowling provides a more traditional bowling experience.
Up to six players can use a bowling lane. A game generally takes about 45-60 minutes for a group of five or six people, although classic tenpin games may take longer. Bowling shoes are not required, but participants must wear closed-toe shoes with flat soles.
Ride-on Cars and Arcade:
Children can drive electric ride-on cars around an indoor car circuit. The arcade contains games for children, teenagers and adults, with tokens purchased separately from playground admission.
Ride-on cars, arcade games and bowling are not included with a standard Playground World ticket unless a combination package is purchased.
Messy Play:
Sensory messy-play sessions are offered for young children (aged 1-5) on selected weekdays during the final week of each month. Activities can include slime, splatter painting and themed creative sessions.
Parties and Functions:
Hoopla has dedicated birthday-party rooms and private function spaces overlooking the activity areas. Available packages can combine playground admission, bowling, grip socks, food, drinks and use of a reserved party room.
Birthday-party packages are available for children aged one and over, with bowling parties generally recommended for children aged three and over. School excursions, tween parties, group visits, fundraisers and private functions can also be arranged.
Food and Drink:
The licensed Hoopla Kitchen & Bar serves meals, snacks, baked goods, barista-made coffee and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and Halal options are available.
Outside food and drinks are not normally permitted. Birthday cakes and lolly bags may be brought into the venue for officially booked parties and functions.

- Hoopla grip socks are compulsory in the playground areas
- Parents and carers enter the playground areas free when accompanying children
- Online bookings are recommended
- Bookings are essential during weekends, public holidays and school holidays to guarantee entry
- Ride-on cars, arcade games and bowling generally cost extra unless included in a combination package
- Children must be supervised by a responsible adult
- Outside food and drinks are not permitted, apart from approved items for officially booked parties and functions
