Heyfield and District Museum


Step back in time to discover the history of Heyfield and surrounds. Seasonal displays, photos and memorabillia. Hear stories from the past from the passionate volunteers all set within Heyfield's old post office building.
Opening Hours:
Open every Saturday 10am to midday or by appointment.

In the outside yard is a log arch which was used in the logging industry. The log arch winched logs off the ground, allowing the logger to pull a much heavier load. The log arch was attached to a bulldozer. Earlier log arches were towed by a team of horses.
