Hepburn Springs - The Village Walk


The Village walk at Hepburn Springs is approximately 2.4 km in length. Allow around 1 hr walk time.
The Village Walk Route Map

- Start at Tenth St. Head down Tenth St through the War Memorial Gates. This is a steep asphalt path which can be slippery due to moss when it is wet.
- Cross the High Spring Creek footbridge, all the way to Locarno Spring.
- Continue past the playground and turn right onto the 4WD track that ascends into the forest.
- After 200m turn left at the T-intersection.
- After walking another 300m you'll see an old mining site, marked by a still visible mullock heap. Take care around here.
- Continue another 300m, and take a right turn at the T-intersection.
- Head straight 500m down the steep slope until you reach the historic Hepburn pool. Swimming and diving is prohibited in the pool which is no longer in use.

- Cross the Spillway Bridge and follow the path to Sixth Street.
- Head up the short steep hill to the corner of Main Road.
- Cross Main Road at turn right down Swiss Mount Avenue.
- Optional walk down to the Dredge Arm Bridge.
- Head back down Seventh Street to Main Road. See the shops and sights and folk of The Village as you head along Main Road and back to the start.
